Animals


"Animals are the heartbeat of the planet, each one a unique thread in the fabric of life and they are a diverse and fascinating part of the natural world!” Animals are incredibly diverse and play various roles in the ecosystem and human life.

· Mammals: Warm-blooded animals with hair or fur and, usually, live births. Examples include lions, whales, and humans.

· Birds: Feathered, winged creatures that lay eggs. They range from sparrows and eagles to penguins and parrots.

· Reptiles: Cold-blooded animals with scales or scutes, including snakes, lizards, and turtles.

· Amphibians: Animals that live both in water and on land during different stages of their life. Frogs, toads, and salamanders fall into this group.

· Fish: Aquatic animals with gills, scales, and fins. They include everything from goldfish and salmon to sharks and rays.

· Insects: The largest group of animals on Earth, characterized by three body parts, six legs, and often wings. Examples include bees, ants, and butterflies.

· Arachnids: Spiders, scorpions, and related creatures with eight legs and no antennae.

· Mollusks: Soft-bodied animals, some of which have shells. Examples include snails, octopuses, and clams.

· Crustaceans: Aquatic animals with hard exoskeletons and jointed legs, such as crabs, lobsters, and shrimp.

· Echinoderms: Marine animals with radial symmetry and a hard, calcareous endoskeleton, including starfish and sea urchins.


Animals are an incredibly broad and diverse category, so there’s a lot to explore!
